Losing a pet is heartbreaking
Pets are part of our families and losing them is very difficult regardless of their age or how long we have had them. Some families immediately adopt another pet to help comfort them in their loss, while others need time before they make another commitment. Each person grieves differently and no one way is right or wrong. We recommend talking to family and friends who have pets and understand your grief. Also considering calling a hotline such as:
