You might be thinking about Halloween (and who isn’t?), but the Prince William SPCA is planning ahead for Thanksgiving. We are once again teaming up with ACTS to provide safe and healthy food alternatives for pets this holiday season. During the month of October, we are collecting cat and dog food donations to be distributed to needy families through ACTS Operation Turkey program in November. Not only will this give the pets a special treat, but it also keeps Fido and Fluffy from indulging in food that can make them sick. Last year we donated close to 250 pet food bags and we would like to double that this fall. To help meet our goal, we are starting early so we can collect more donations and help more needy families.
Donations Needed: Items we will accept include: small bags of cat and dog food, can/pouch food, treats and new small pet supplies (shampoo, catnip toys, dog toys, etc.). All donations need to be new and unopened.
We encourage monetary donations so volunteers can buy the exact items needed. Please use form below to make a secure donation through PayPal.
What NOT to Donate: No opened or expired food of any kind or used items. No large bags of food over 5 lbs.
We need your help! Do you have a school, church, or scout group looking to perform community service? Organize a pet food drive with us! See below for printable signs and info sheets. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how you can help.
