Prince William SPCA PAW Express Event: Marine Corps Museum

September 22 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

FREE

The Dog Days of Summer are stretching into autumn as the National Museum of the Marine Corps celebrates canine companions on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The P.A.W. Express mobile adoption van will be at the event from 10:00am-2:00pm with dogs – and cats! – from the Prince William County Animal Shelter. This annual event features activities highlighting the important role dogs and animals play in the Marine Corps. Chesty XV, the official mascot of the Marine Corps, will make an appearance and there will be working dog demonstrations from the Marine Corps and U.S. State Department. The MCB Quantico Natural Resource office will have a trailer at the venue to share information about animals, plant life and hunting regulations on Quantico. This is a kid-friendly day with crafts, puppet shows and a scavenger hunt. Dogs are welcome on the grounds of the museum but must be on leash and use the designated doggie relief area near the flagpole. Entrance to the Museum and parking are FREE.
